Asset Report
Block EG-27 (LNG)
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Block R is located offshore Equatorial Guinea. Seven deepwater dry gas discoveries have been made on the block since 2001. The dry gas and benign sea conditions make Block R a good candidate for floating LNG (FLNG) technology. Ophir plans to use a 2.2 mmtpa FLNG vessel to monetise 2.3 tcf of gas from the Fortuna, Viscata and Tonel fields. Ophir has selected Golar LNG as its midstream partner. Golar will provide and operate the FLNG vessel in return for a liquefaction tariff.
