The Block G fields are located offshore Equatorial Guinea and are operated by Kosmos Trident International Petroleum EG Inc, a 50:50 joint venture between Kosmos Energy and Trident Energy. Ceiba was discovered in 1999 with the first exploration well on the acreage. In a rapid development, that was a record at the time, first oil was achieved less than 14 months after discovery.
