Report summary
Blocks 05-2 and 05-3 are located in the Nam Con Son Basin and contain two commercial gas fields, Hai Thach and Moc Tinh, discovered in 1993-1995. Unlike other Vietnam fields, Hai Thach and Moc Tinh are high temperature, high pressure and lie in water depth of up to 140 metres. As a result, development was very challenging. The project is also known as the Bien Dong development.
