Report summary
The Bonan Block, located in the southern part of the Bohai Gulf, includes the Bozhong 19-6 cluster, the Bozhong 34 fiends, and the Bonan and Kenli oil and gas clusters.CNOOC discovered Bozhong 19-6 in 2017 and proved 2.1 billion boe of hydrocarbon in place by mid-2019 after successful appraisal. The field targets the Paleocene Kongdian glutenite formation and Archean gneiss at depths ranging from 3,800 to 5,600 metres.
