The Borealis field is a western satellite of the Prudhoe Bay field on the North Slope of Alaska. The field primarily produces from the Kuparuk River Formation. The western periphery of Prudhoe Bay holds a significant heavy oil resource. Following the implementation of SB 21 in 2014 BP was evaluating a large scale development programme that included the addition of a new pad expansion of two existing pads construction of additional surface facilities and debottlenecking at facilities. ...
