BP settles Deepwater Horizon claims for up to US$18.7 billion
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
BP has reached agreements in principle to settle all federal and state claims related to the Deepwater Horizon incident. If agreed, the settlement will allow BP to fully emerge from the shadow of Macondo and despite a higher penalty than provided for, the 18 year payment schedule will limit the cash flow impact.
