Report summary
Event: On 6 March BP and partner RWE Dea signed a long awaited deal with the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum to develop the West Nile Delta gas fields. The project will see the partners invest up to US$12 billion to develop 5 tcf of gas from six fields in the Mediterranean. First gas is scheduled for 2017, reaching a peak of 1.25 bcf/d by 2021.
