The Camden Coal Seam Gas (CSG) project was located 50 kilometres southwest of Sydney, New South Wales. Camden was operated by AGL and was the first commercial gas development in the Sydney Basin. Over 140 wells were drilled in two phases of development. All the early wells were vertical holes, with dual completions in two seams. As the development progressed an increasing number of wells were drilled surface-to-in-seam (SIS).
