Report summary
The Captain heavy oil field is situated in the Outer Moray Firth, 145 kilometres northeast of Aberdeen. The initial development utilised a manned wellhead production and drilling platform facility (WPP-A) tied back to an FPSO. The Captain Expansion Project involved the installation of a second wellhead platform (BLP-A), bridge-linked to WPP-A, in 2000.
