It was commissioned in 2001 to link the super-giant Tengiz oil field to international markets and is currently under expansion. The CPC runs across west Kazakhstan and Russia to a dedicated marine terminal at South Ozereika, near Novorossiisk on the Black Sea.Although the CPC was primarily built to transport Tengiz crude, it is also an important outlet for several other Kazakh and Russian operators. ...
