Cohasset/Panuke
Report summary
Cohasset/Panuke was Canada's first offshore oil project, coming onstream in June 1993. These two small oil fields produced a total of 44.5 million barrels over their six year life. The crude was a medium quality oil.The two fields are eight kilometres apart and located 250 kilometres southeast of Halifax. Sable Island is 40 kilometres to their northeast.
