Report summary

The Republic of Congo (also known as Congo-Brazzaville) started producing oil in 1960. Output mainly comes from offshore, and peaked at 320,000 b/d in 2010. After a few years of decline, new deepwater developments have reinvigorated the upstream sector. Total's Moho Nord came onstream in March 2017, adding 100,000 b/d. As a result, we forecast Congo's output to reach a new peak of 325,000 b/d in 2018, strengthening its position as Sub-Saharan Africa's third biggest oil producer. ...
