Report summary
The Contract 2 Area, previously known as the Unocal 2 Contract Area, covers a group of gas/condensate fields in the Gulf of Thailand, including Baanpot, Platong, Satun, South Satun, Kaphong and Pladang. The fields were developed to supply gas as part of the second gas sales agreement (GSA) between Unocal and PTTEP. Baanpot was the first field to be developed and was brought onstream in 1983, ahead of schedule due to lower than expected output from the adjacent Erawan field. The initial ...
