Coulomb (MC 657) and Coulomb North (MC 613) are Shell-owned and operated oil fields that have been jointly developed as a subsea tie-backs to the BP-operated Na Kika Floating Production System (FPS), located 43 kilometres (27 miles) to the northwest. Although Coulomb and Na Kika are considered distinct, they were both sanctioned in September 2000 due to the necessity for joint infrastructure development.
