Dubai Petroleum Contract Area
Report summary
The Dubai Petroleum Contract Area includes six offshore oil and gas fields (Fateh, Fateh South West, Falah, Rashid, Jalila and Aqam). These are located 60 to 90 kilometres from the Dubai coast and lie between Sir Abu Nu'ayr Island to the west, and Sirri Island in Iran to the north. The fields - operated by Dubai Petroleum Establishment (DPE) - produce Dubai's benchmark medium sour crude (31 °API). The fields' reserves are mainly contained in the Cretaceous Mishrif carbonate. ...
