Duyung PSC contains the offshore Mako gas discovery in the western Natuna Sea. The Mako field is one of the larger gas discoveries in the West Natuna-Penyu basin and is estimated to contain resources comprised of 98% methane. In September 2022, a revised Plan of Development (POD) for higher production and the export of all gas production to Singapore was approved. Under the revised POD, gas will be produced via eight development wells (one platform and seven subsea wells) hooked up to a leased mobile offshore production unit (MOPU). A 14-in, 60 km subsea pipeline will transport gas to the Kakap PSC, where it will tie into the existing West Natuna Transportation System (WNTS) link to Singapore.
