Mitro International (Cyprus/Turkmenistan) and state-owned NAPECO operate the onshore East Cheleken oil field in west Turkmenistan. The project is also known as the Khazar PSC.East Cheleken is one of three projects in Turkmenistan where a foreign investor is partnered with a state-run firm. The others are the Eni-operated Nebit Dag development and Dragon Oil's Cheleken Contract Area.
