The MLHP-4 Block lies within the offshore area of the central Douala Basin, northwest of the town of Kribi. In 2006, Perenco signed a development licence for the MLHP-4 Block, which covers the Sanaga Sud field. A gas sales agreement was finalised between Perenco and Cameroon's national oil company, Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures (SNH), in 2008.
