The Echira, Moukouti and Niungo fields are grouped within Perenco's south onshore Gabon management area.Shell discovered the Echira field in 1984, achieving first oil in 1992. The field's crude is exported via the Gamba terminal. In 1987, during a multi-well exploration campaign, Shell discovered the Moukouti field.
