El Borma is the largest field discovered in Tunisia. It is located onshore in the Ghadames basin in Southern Tunisia and straddles the Tunisian-Algerian border. Eni discovered the field in 1964. El Borma is operated by the Societe Italo-Tunisienne d'Exploration PetroliSre (SITEP), a Tunisian joint venture company comprising of Eni and Tunisia's Direction Générale de l'Energie (DGE).
