Report summary
Energen Resources is the exploration and production subsidiary of Energen, a diversified energy company with upstream and midstream operations. The company has focused heavily on increasing its liquids weighting in recent years, primarily by concentrating investment in the Permian Basin. Since entering the Permian in 2002, Energen steadily increased its initial position through acquisitions, including seven deals with consideration of more than US$100 million each.
