Report summary
Eni has made a multi-tcf gas discovery in Block 114 of the Song Hong Basin, offshore Vietnam. This is a major breakthrough for Eni, who is finally rewarded for its committed efforts to explore Vietnam's key frontier basins. Although the discovery looks promising, it needs to be appraised and the road to commercialisation is uncertain. However, this is more good news for exploration in South East Asia.
