Eni has agreed to acquire BP's Algerian gas fields: In Amenas and In Salah. BP holds 45.89% and 33.15% interests respectively. Both areas are operated by joint ventures co-owned with Sonatrach, Algeria's national oil company, and Equinor. No consideration for the sale has been disclosed. Since 2018, Eni has significantly increased its entrenched position in Algeria, entering new areas and agreements.
