YPF is developing tight gas from the Lajas formation at Estacion Fernandez Oro, which is located in the province of Rio Negro. The block is among the most relevant tight gas projects for YPF, second to Loma La Lata in terms output. Gas output from the block grew under different price incentive schemes introduced by Argentina's government since 2008.
