Europa (MC 935) is an oil and gas field about 25 kilometres (16 miles) southwest of Shell's Mars development in the Mississippi Canyon area in the Central Gulf of Mexico. The field has been developed as a multi-well subsea tie-back to the Mars TLP. Europa has produced from nine wells over the field's life.Early-life wells at Europa successfully maintained high rates with low declines for over a year, while newer wells have experienced steeper production decline rates.
