Fortin de Piedra is Tecpetrol's premiere Vaca Muerta development. The company sanctioned the project in 2017 and ramped up production quickly, reaching almost 500 mmcfd by the end of 2018. It is the third Vaca Muerta project to enter full scale development, following Loma Campana and El Orejano. At present, Fortin de Piedra is the largest unconventional gas producing field in Argentina.
