Gibraltar is a gas field located in the Siriri block (formerly Samore) in the Llanos foothills of northern Colombia close to the border with Venezuela. The block was originally operated by Occidental. The company exited in 2002 and Ecopetrol assumed control.A sidetrack from the original Occidental wellbore discovered a gas and condensate field in 2003 and gas production commenced in April 2009.
