The Gobe Main field is located in the Southern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. Oil production began in March 1998 at around 10,000 b/d, with production peaking at 16,500 b/d in 1999. The oil is processed at the Gobe Production Facility (GPF). It is then carried by a spur-line to the Kutubu export pipeline, which is connected to the offshore Kumul Marine Terminal. Gobe Main shares production facilities and infrastructure with the SE Gobe field, which is split between PDL 3 and PDL 4. Since 2014, a portion of the produced gas has been supplied as feedgas to the PNG LNG project. This analysis only covers oil production allocated to the Gobe Main partners. The historical and forecasted feedgas supply to PNG LNG from Gobe Main is in our PNG LNG analysis.
