The GPC fields consist of up to 26 oil, gas and condensate fields located in the Gulf of Suez and the Western Desert. The General Petroleum Corporation (GPC) operates the fields on behalf of Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC).The first field, Hurghada, was discovered as early as 1915.
