The Kirkuk fields are in the Kirkuk province in northern Iraq and consist of Kirkuk Avanah, Kirkuk Baba, Bai Hassan, Khabbaz and Jambur. These fields were discovered between the 1920s and 1970s by the Iraq Petroleum Company, a historical in which BP held an equity interest.
