The Greater Ninian Area consists of the Ninian field , the Columba Terraces fields (Columba B, C and E) and the Strathspey field.The Ninian field has been developed using one concrete and two steel platforms. Sales gas was produced in the 1980s.Modifications to the Ninian platforms were undertaken in the early 1990s to allow the development of satellite fields Lyell, Staffa and Strathspey.
