Greater Poseidon
Report summary
Greater Poseidon is made up of the Poseidon and Kronos gas discoveries. Poseidon was discovered in 2009 and Kronos in 2010 and both lie in the Browse Basin, 940 kilometres west of Darwin and 460 kilometres north of Broome. The project is operated by Santos, with partners Origin energy and PetroChina. The Greater Poseidon resource is expected to be feedstock for a LNG facility, however there are currently no development plans in place and no gas infrastructure nearby.
