Report summary
Greater Poseidon comprises the Poseidon, Kronos, Zephyros, and Pharos/Proteus gas discoveries. Discovered beterrn 2009 to 2013, the fields lie in the Browse Basin, 940 kilometres west of Darwin and 460 kilometres north of Broome. The project is operated by Santos, with partners Origin energy and PetroChina. The Greater Poseidon resource is expected to be feedstock for a LNG facility, however there are currently no development plans in place and no gas infrastructure nearby.
