The Guarrojo block in the Llanos basin was awarded to Hocol in February 2006. As the company is an Ecopetrol subsidiary, it operates semi-independently and its development plans are subject to approval from a board of directors largely made up of Ecopetrol personnel.The Guarrojo block in the Llanos basin contains the Ocelote, Guarrojo and Pintado fields.
