The Guatiquia block is located in the Llanos basin immediately southwest of the Corcel block. Candelilla was the first discovery in the block in 2009. Most production now comes from the Ceibo fields, discovered in 2013.The performance from the first producing wells was encouraging, but the structure has a high water drive and high declines.
