Report summary
The Guatiquia block is located in the Llanos basin immediately southwest of the Corcel block (see separate analysis). Candelilla was the first discovery on the block in 2009. Most production now comes from the Avispa field, discovered in 2013.The performance from the first producing wells was encouraging, but the structure has a high water drive and high declines. The field requires an active drilling programme to maintain production.
