Indonesia election result signals positive note for energy sector

Early indications suggest that Jokowi has won Indonesia's Presidential election.  As the more progressive candidate, his victory will be viewed positively across the energy and mining sectors. Jokowi has outlined plans to reduce Indonesia's reliance on oil imports by boosting exploration and domestic production, while streamlining Indonesia's notoriously lengthy approvals process.  But the lack of a majority in the House of Representatives could hamper Jokowi's vision for a new Indonesia.
