Canada-based Tenaz Energy operates the Joint Development Area (JDA) in the Dutch North Sea. In May 2025, Tenaz completed a deal to acquire NAM Offshore from NAM, the ExxonMobil and Shell 50:50 joint venture. The deal had an effective date of 1 January 2024.The JDA consists of five offshore licences – K/7, K/8-K/11, K/14, K/15 and L/13 – and contains around 40 gas fields.
