Júpiter is a large pre-salt field in the Santos basin that we classify as technical given its challenging reservoir. The field is located on exploration block BM-S-24 and was discovered in 2008. It lies 38 kilometres to the east of Brazil's largest field, Tupi.There is uncertainty regarding reserve estimates for Júpiter and further appraisal work is required.
