Kashagan super-giant restarts on schedule
Report summary
Kashagan wells have been brought onstream for pre-commissioning. However, official production restart is scheduled for 23 October - following oil and gas treatment at the onshore processing facilities. We expect a fast ramp-up at Kashagan. However, Phase One production is limited by physical capacity at onshore and offshore facilities. The initial capacity of 370,000 b/d will be commissioned by end-2017. Within 18 months of restart, Kashagan will already be Kazakhstan's second largest liquids producer.
