The Kenai gas field, operated by Hilcorp and originally developed by Marathon, is one of the largest gas fields in the Cook Inlet Basin. It is located on the Kenai Peninsula on the east coast of the Cook Inlet. The field was developed in the early 1960s, at which time the gas was delivered into the local Anchorage market.
