The Kitina field was discovered in 1991 and is one of three discoveries made on the Marine VII exploration licence. The other discoveries are Kitina Sud and Sounda. Kitina came onstream in 1997 with 10 producers and two water injectors. Kitina Sud started production in 1998 with a single producer tied back to the Kitina platform.
