Kraka is a small oil and gas field situated eight kilometres to the southwest of the Dan field. Development plans were approved in July 1988 and Kraka was brought onstream in 1991 as a satellite to Dan under a phased development programme. The field has been developed using a small unmanned STAR (slim tripod adapted for rig installation) type platform and horizontal production wells.Production from the field is tied back to Dan.
