The Las Maracas field is located in the Ocarros Block, southwest of Parex's Block LLA-16. Crude from Las Maracas is relatively light, at 37° API. Being not too viscous could allow the oil to be used as diluent for the predominantly heavy oil fields of the Llanos basin. However, for the purposes of this analysis we are assuming all oil is transported to the coast. The Las Maracas field is located in the foreland blocks of the Llanos basin and is a multiple-zone development targeting the Mirador, Gacheta, and Une formations.
