Lower 48 supply is growing once again, but the pace is slower than prior expansions. Cost inflation, oilfield service constraints and capital discipline are moderating forces. Inventory depletion begins impacting the forecast by the end of this decade. In short, we see more headwinds than tailwinds. Keep an eye on the Permian Basin to drive both oil and natural gas supply growth over the next five years.
