Report summary
Makassar is a deepwater PSC offshore East Kalimantan. In 1996, then-operator Unocal embarked upon an extensive drilling programme, planning to drill up to 60 prospects on its East Kalimantan acreage, which included the Makassar Block. This resulted in significant discoveries on the PSC, most notably Merah Besar in 1997 and West Seno in 1998. In 2001, it was determined that the deepwater Gendalo gas/condensate field, discovered on the Ganal PSC in 2000, extended into the Makassar PSC. ...
