Marlin (VK 915) is a large gas field with a small oil rim, located in the Viosca Knoll protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. The field was developed via a conventional Tension-Leg Platform (TLP) tied-in to the Destin (gas) and Main Pass (oil) gathering systems. Wood Mackenzie expects the Marlin TLP facility will continue to serve as a hub for local subsea tie-backs after the field ceases.
