Mica (MC 211) is a medium-sized gas and condensate field, developed via three subsea wells tied back 44 kilometres (27 miles) to the Stone Energy-operated Pompano fixed platform in VK 989. Mica set a world record for water depth of subsea oil and gas production when the first two wells were brought onstream in June 2001, in over 1,300 metres (4,300 feet) of water.
