Report summary
In this review, we highlight the significant upstream events and trends of 2024 across the Middle East and North Africa. Total production marginally increased, boosted by gas growth. However, oil production fell significantly due to Saudi Arabia’s voluntary cut. Regional investment grew strongly, reaching a record high in the Middle East. Two upstream FIDs and two LNG projects were approved. We also delve into the key trends in production, investment, FIDs, M&A, licensing and emissions.
