Report summary
NOC privatisation and asset sales are an ongoing trend and extend beyond upstream to include midstream and downstream divestments. Asian NOCs are the primary buyers across the region and are the source of the most deal spend since 2018. Local NOCs are also showing interest in upstream and midstream assets outside their home countries. The UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia unconventionals all continue to generate interest amongst the Majors.
