Report summary

The Missan Oil Fields comprise the Abu Ghirab, Buzurgan and Fuqua oil fields, which are located in the southeastern province of Missan, bordering Iran. Abu Ghirab and Fuqua both straddle the Iranian border, and the latter is being exploited on both sides. A redevelopment contract was awarded to CNOOC and TPAO in December 2010. The first phase of the redevelopment was completed in 2013, with phase two expected to run through to 2016.
