The Missan Oil Fields comprise the Abu Ghirab, Buzurgan, and Fauqi oil fields, and are located in the southeastern province of Missan, bordering Iran. Buzurgan is the largest of the fields and lies wholly in Iraq. Abu Ghirab and Fauqi both straddle the Iranian border. A redevelopment Technical Service Contract (TSC) was awarded to CNOOC and TPAO in 2010.
