The MonArb Area in the Central North Sea covers the Montrose, Arbroath, Arkwright, Brechin, Wood, Godwin, Cayley and Shaw fields. In 1969, Arbroath was the first oil discovery in the North Sea. Production from MonArb has gone through several phases of investment as satellite fields were successively tied-in. Montrose was developed first via a single production platform.
